All the mote reason to RESIST! In this case it’s not even a transformation in meaning but purely in perception. The very same traits that used to be ‘good’ or even higher ideals are now belittled by applying this term! Only following very low instincts don’t qualify as woke.
Of course everyone reads everything she or he likes into terms that lack any rigor (as the disciplines where they arrived from), but for a deeper understanding of what happens here I recommend Orwell's 1984s "Appendix on Newspeak". Again, "woke" has been captured by ideologues in *late* 20th century
Newspeak is the one language I actively resist learning!
Those who teach it to you won't ask you if you like it. We all, I am no exception, involuntarily use framings and wordings fabricated by ideologues on their respective war paths and learn about it later on
I don’t let them capture it from me! As they are even referring to the very same traits that I cherish and they detest I see NO reason why. At least it’s honest of them that they openly admit being slaves to their lower instincts and hating those that aren’t.
