My husband couldn't tolerate his chemo. It messed with his heart. The doctor told him there is no other drug for it. I'm happy you have an alternative treatment. I had to change insurance until I found one that would cover my autoimmune disease treatment (Ivig for CIDP). Took me 7 years.

Sorry for what you're going through. Also, yes. I had to get diabetes before my insurance... would give me meds to deal with diabetes. Instead of giving me meds that would've prevented that from ever happening. Then it took them 2 weeks to approve the drug they said I COULD get.

I'm sorry you had a bad reaction AND can't get the treatment you should get. Yeah, they'd really rather us die. My father has been a PT for 50ish years. Has always said "health insurance will trip over a dollar to save a penny." They don't get it, or care.

My doctor is working on it so hopefully it won't land in my lap. Just have a feeling it's going to delay treatment another freaking week which I hate because I just want to get this started so it can be finished.
