It's rare to see a non-Brit celebrate these two icons of overlooked genius. Felt was the soundtrack to my early-mid-80s bedsit years. Virginia taught me that pleasant can be thrilling. Legends, both.

You nailed it π― always good to come across other Felt fans nowadays
Everything about Virginia Astley, her name, visual aesthetic and album titles just says English dream pop. This is a woman who made an album called βFrom Gardens Where We Feel Secureβand, if memory serves, was in a band called The Ravishing Beauties.
π― I love her music. I usually play her albums during Xmas. Good to have a physical copy though.
Hope From a Darkened Heart - excellent Sakamoto produced album. Check out From Gardens Where We Feel Secure if you can, too
I love From the Gardens too. I wish I had a physical copy
Love both these ... David Sylvian features on the Virginia Astley LP π΅π
David Sylvian = unsung hero
Whatβs the babe name of that Felt record?
