Aye I heard gossip too but no one ever showed plausible captive origin. A full winged unringed White Pelican that crossed Europe.

Indeed not, that too just 'appeared' somewhere in Poland already well out of range. Presumably earlier reports of the individual were not considered newsworthy being close to or within the natural range? Perhaps too many free roaming GWP in Europe though, to allow this one to be accepted so easily?
