How can so many people lack empathy?? Are they seeing this? Reading the stories? Or are they getting their news from the station and sites that got us here. We need a better way to inform people of the atrocities that are taking place. It needs to be shoved down their throats.

Sad, but can you imagine Trump feeling empathy for anyone, even family? Being humane for him is considered weak. Worse, he and his ilk WANT to be like Nazis & enough people have been convinced behaving like Hitler shows strength.

They see these people as their competitors for resources.

Well, for starters, 21% are illitetate. Another 54% have a 6th grade reading & comprehension level. The studies about reading leading to increased empathy are legit. So, 75% of Americans have little to no empathy mostly because the simply cannot comprehend the situation.

No to all of the above. I think you are still laboring under the delusion that we are in a democratic Republic. No, this is an autocracy. Mainstream news is state media. Half the population voted for this. The average American can barely read.
