What? No submarines in the Kashmiri mountains? 🏔️
What? No submarines in the Kashmiri mountains? 🏔️
I was hoping you would do a sum up of both nations submarine assets
The news there can be nuts. This conflict seems its being pushed along by some force. Before the Kashmir attack, earlier this years, Pakistan was attacked on the border of Afghanistan. So i wonder if it involves that as well, and all the possibilities there. Moscow and Kabul are rather close now.
Don't forget that the I in BRICS stands for India. They both have good relations with Russia
yea, and Pakistan have long accused India of collaborating with the Kabul mob. These sort of things most us cannot know for sure, so they are theories rather than what happened accusations. But putin loves to start wars. Its the ultimate arson, a long fav of the kremlin.
There was also this article flowing around "Pakistan only has 4 days of ammo left (because they sold do Ukraine earlier)." A lot of 3-day special operation vibes and fake news that got pushed by bot farms.
Indian and Pakistan news channel are very numerous and often real dodgy. Huge population with many English speakers and an un regulated news media, makes it a wild west for the truth russia often liked to seed stories in that part of the world and let them spread. That Ammo story could even be one
Wise counsel
Saw an early video and thought "that is confusing, doesn't quite look right..." And it turned out to be a fake, earlier conflict. So yeah, beware.
You read my mind.
Me these days
Are you at least going to note if there is any submarine or other naval activity.. I’m particularly interested in that as a result of having a drunken chat with a Indian Navy commodore once, a while ago. Who I think was COMCOS at the time..
I'd expect the [checks notes] landlocked mountainous region of Kashmir to be rather limiting in terms of submarine operations. If either side put in an order for twenty billion shovels to dig their way there though I think we'll hear about it...
(apologies for being facetious - though I guarantee at least two people will suddenly realise Kashmir isn't quite where they thought it was)
Yes, it’s great how what everyone expects from two nuclear armed rivals is to limit their rivalry to a single region or area. It’s only fair really. 🤷🏾👀🤪
Oh yeah, for sure, but see the second note about my facetiousness!
All good but I confess was the reference to two people aimed at any two people specifically?
Nah, just a lower bound. It's amazing how often I throw a joke in and get a reply from somebody who had accidentally learned something because what I'd said had prompted them to check. I presume the current US administration is still pouring over a map of Africa trying to find it.
In the meantime I am willing to suggest if this is not deescalated pretty quickly it will also involve naval assets. It’s already had air force assets being used (and shot down). Anyone tracking which subs have left Mumbai (Western Naval Command?) www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...
I had an uncle who spent time serving in a church in Kashmir (the Jesuits end up everywhere) so I got to hear quite a bit about what it was like.. on the ground.
Well it was news to me, so that’s one person down
But if either side does attack Kashmir with a submarine, they'll have total surprise!
India does have the K-4 SLBM so it isn’t technically impossible.. Hell of a way to deliver a surprise though.
He was explaining to me exactly what his role would be in any future Indo-Pakistan war..
Hopefully not on Signal...
Nope. 😃 In person over drinks. It was hilarious how twitchy his aides were getting listening to the boss chat with a civilian though. And a foreign national to boot. 🤷🏾😂
(Nothing was discussed that was classified. Just strategy really)
good meme work
Time for some Arma 3 footage…
I think we're DCS territory here.
There was a clip doing rounds on pro-Indian accounts at Twitter earlier today, which to add some comic to an attempt at using game footage to show "a Pakistani fighter shot down" in fact showed some kind of a Flanker-variant getting torn to pieces.
I thought about pointing out that *if* the footage was correct, that would have been an Indian friendly fire incident, but decided against it 😁
During the last skirmish (Balakot), I had a cousin *in the Indian air force* tell me details of "what happened", the day after the strikes. Eventually it turned out that he got 90% of the details utterly wrong, and I learnt a valuable lesson.
TBH quite often hearsay in the relevant force may be much worse than some random villager testimony :D
Exactly stuff like this
If you don't have the bandwidth to follow the #IndiaPakistan fighting just imagine how little Trump will understand. Trump will probably demand ownership of all the water as payment for negotiating a peace settlement. Dammit, please don't repost this lest he gets ideas in his demented head.
So, about average?
Below average if I’m honest, one of the least reliable OSINT spaces in my limited experience, hence my words of warning
Any suggestions for good or less bad accounts to follow?
Can't they sort this out with a cricket match?
I already saw posts showing this picture with a downed "Raphael", while it was a Mig-29 which crashed during a routing training in September 24. So yes, people already started to produce fake news. www.dnaindia.com/india/report...
Forgot to ask who is a reputable & independent source in this area
Yes it is a combustible mix of nationalism and religion between bitterly divided divorcees

Good call.
