Here’s a new MS Paint cutaway of the Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo heavy cruise missile. None of this AI generated tosh! Reported 3000km range, 1000kg warhead(!!). Here -> www.hisutton.com/Ukrainian-FP...

That is a big missile considering the engine is 3.5m long and 600m diameter.

Cool that it's equipped with an attitude sensor...clearly the Ivans need their attitudes adjusted.

Generally, not the exact composition. So maybe better to say composite, but wanting to use accessible wording. The fuselage has the telltale crisscross texture, zoom in on this example

Wonderful Paint work, thanks! Although I'm no weapons technician, I'd almost say that the two production photos show riveting. Rivets would normally be used in sheet steel, while fiberglass would be glued, right? That pink thing (clearly a 45° structure) looks like a marketing gimmick to me.

I work in the industry, to use rivets is fast, and cheap, and give you strong enough connection. And when you assembly the parts the rivets gives you the right position of the part on the other. If you think the river not enough you still can add glue as well to make the bond stronger.

+if you connect 2 different material the best if you use some fastening such as rivets.

The upper part of the engine cowling is metal. Panels like the fairings are often bolted onto a frame

The 'production facility' is a rental warehouse photo op. There is no future for any weapon plant in Ukraine Underground workshops in Pavlograd for Sapsan ballistic tactical missiles hit US electronic plant also & now the Bayraktar factor in Kiev, when it had ripened to the point of inauguration

A rebadged British-Emirati FP-5 from Milanion So too few to change anything, maybe useful for PR & provocation Large, slow & lacking advanced guidance for terrain mapping, etc. Pantsir-fodder, in all likelihood, judging by how quickly the Storm Shadows were profiled

Here a little comparison I did some days ago comparing the range and warhead with Tomahawk and Taurus. In Sutton's article are a lot of additional information like max altitude, speed or length etc for the Flamingo 🦩 missle.

If true and mass produced and not too visible on the radars, it will help Ukraine greatly. RU Air defense is thinned out already greatly. Maybe slamming one into the Kerch bridge pillars could do as well a certain job ? There are terror Shaed/Geran production facilities within it's reach!
