If you have a Little Free Library that’s ignored, it’s a good time to make it a Little Free Food Pantry. A few dollars each week can stock it, and community members often donate. I started mine in 2020 and now local churches even drop off items. I’m seeing a lot more people coming by for food.

There are some nearby churches that have these! Thankfully (sadly?) our personal Little Free Library is pretty popular, and my spouse REGULARLY refreshes the books. I’m in the capital city, so there’s a pretty strong food bank. (Being vague so I’m not easily searchable by randos, sorry!)

I fully understand the vagueness 🙂 That’s great that your library does well! At mine, people brought cast-off books, but rarely took them. It has to be you and your spouse’s dedication that makes it work. Also good that your area has food pantries. I’m seeing so many new people show up.

Oh wow. I’m so worried about what is to come and how we all are going to get by. It’s good that you are able to help.

I know, we are retired, I'm hoping to get a part-time job soon so I can keep up with the rising food prices and keep donating.

I’m so sorry. It shouldn’t be that way.
