That makes sense, though some of ours very much prefer still water in a bowl. Ginger, on the other hand, likes it best when I am actively pouring fresh water into the fountain ⛲ 😹

I'm lucky that my cats dont this, however my cats love to stick their mane into the bowl (or fountain) and get all wet. They also love to stick their food in the water and make the water all gooky.
