I also don't quite understand where a new CM would play. Are you benching Casemiro, Ugarte, Mount, and Mainoo? Once Sesko is fit the lineup essentially only has one spot for those four if Mbeumo, Bruno, and Cunha start nearly every game. It's a curious roster construction philosophy.
I totally get why he wants a CM upgrade, as we are still meh in the middle, but I just don't see how everyone fits without sales. Just use that money to pay Donnarumma ffs.
I also do not understand why we are selling Hoijlund. Is SJR just totally incapable of selling Garnacho, Antony, and Sancho... and needs cash? Watching Cunha play OOP and get little service felt like deja vu. Obi is young, so we are so reliant on Sesko if he is sold.
Positives: Dorgu looks great. If Shaw can stay fit and find form we are in a good position at LCB/LWB. Yoro and de Ligt are good. Mbeumo looks hungry to run at defenders, and Cunha clearly has the "it factor" to create from nothing. Good to see Mount looking fit again. He's a solid player.
