He is trying to distract from his Epstein ties scandal. Everything coming out from him right now is intended to be over the top, so as to steal coverage away from his past friendships. There's a reason they magically chose just right now to loudly tell the world they blew up a small boat.
Trump's whole thing is being over the top, he's always been like this. It's less him trying to distract from Epstein and more the fact that he's a paranoid monster that likes striking fear. Hell that idiot probably thinks he's gotten away with the Epstein shit by now (I sure hope he hasn't.)
Considering the White House just told Republicans in Congress that anyone who signs the discharge petition started by Massie will be seen as committing a hostile act against the Trump Amin... No, he absolutely does not think he has gotten away with it. He is terrified.
Good point, Massies petition is probably making him nervous if nothing else, but I still think actions like this are less a distraction and more just Trump doing shit that makes him feel good, as well as many other horrible things he is doing right now.
