You're ignoring what I'm saying. I've not shown them it's a line I'm prepared to cross. The Labour Party is very well aware of my opposition to this, the Scottish Labour Party especially so. I vocally and visibly oppose them on this. Labour wasn't transphobic when I joined, it can improve again.

Would you have joined if it had been as openly transphobic as it is now?

No. Are you going to engage with anything I'm writing or are you just determined to be a prime example of exactly the problem I wrote about in that thread?

I mean, labour had to be dragged to the ECHR to force them to take trans identities seriously enough to enshrine them in law (then did it so badly it has been overturned in SC). So I'm wondering where you think they will change back to?

And it feels like you are upset about being targeted by people calling you a traitor to other queer people, but you understand why people perceive that to be the case - because Labour are actively oppressing trans people.

I've already said I understand why that is the case. If you read the *rest* of that thread I am making an argument against *exactly what you are doing here*. And you are still just ignoring all of it.

Sorry, I'm actually old enough to remember when and how the GRA and the EA came into being. The SC ruling addressed the EA, which had nothing to do with any ECHR cases, not the GRA, which was indeed the product of an ECHR case. Scottish Labour voted for the Gender Recognition Reform Bill in 2022.

Idk who you think should be to blame then if the SC managed to misinterpret laws put forward in 2004 and 2010 by politicians. Maybe you are confusing Scottish Labour with Labour? I'm talking about the party with a massive majority who could do a lot of things if they wanted to, and are too scared

I blame the current government for not responding to the SC ruling with a clarifying bill which fixed the law to meet its intent in 2010. Just FYI, your logic says Jeremy Corbyn should have left Labour in 1983.
