I agree that at every moment of my adult life, and possibly before, the Democratic Party could and should have held to democratic ideals and stood up for the vast majority of Americans, instead of doing what their corporate and wealthy donors wanted, slowly morphing into the Lite version of the GoP.

It wasn't always like this, and frankly, before Trump came along, I always believed that there was still hope. Now, especially after this budget bill, I don't see it. America is gone.
