Day 1 - 1st game you remember playing My earliest gaming memories are playing Sonic 2, I was absolutely obsessed and played it for so long one day I had a fat blister on my thumb 😂 I sometimes wonder if I'd be more of a Nintendo fan today if we'd had a SNES rather than a Mega Drive

My first game was Sonic 1, so we’re not too far off. Oddly enough I grew up playing mostly Nintendo so people IRL have found it odd I started with Sega.

Yeah, I did play a lot of Gameboy and N64 but never really got properly invested into any of the games long term

Day 2 - A game with a memorable soundtrack Music is such a powerful part of what makes a game memorable & there's tons of games that could be picked but since I'm doing no repeats, want to use them another day This was a banging soundtrack & I'd be stunned if it doesn't win an award this year

Day 3 - A game you think everyone should play I don't think anyone can play Portal 2 and not enjoy it. If you want to introduce someone to games it's an amazing starting point too. It's a great example of how good games can be as a packaged art form without throwing them in at the deep end

Day 4 - A game from the year you were born Not many games from the year I was born that I've actually played. Super Mario World is an obvious choice but I only ever played it from time to time at a friends house. Castle of Illusion was good though!

Day 5 - A game that makes you throw controllers Pretty sure I've never damaged or thrown a controller But I am VERY competitive and sometimes take online multiplayer a bit too seriously 😅 less so as I've gotten older though Rainbow Six Siege used to get me really riled up

Day 6 - A game that tugs on your heartstrings There's a handful of contenders for this. Specifically 3 if you include sequels as the full package. It's really hard for me to pick one over the others but I have different days in mind for the other games so this one it is

Day 7 - A game with zombies Got to give an honourable shout to L4D before anything, the amount of fun I had with those games is unforgettable But gotta give this to one of my favourite games of all time and one of my favourite game series of all time

Day 8 - A game that is arcade only I'm not sure I ever played anything that is to this day exclusive to an arcade. My go to machine at the arcade was always House of the Dead though and even though I enjoyed the console port, it was a million times better on the real machine with light guns

Day 9 - Game you're most anticipating There's 3...GTA 6 and Intergalactic could be included here but I think Saros steals the post. Returnal was insanely underrated or straight up overlooked and I know Housemarque are going to deliver a masterpiece again, I'll be there for it

Day 10 - A game that's overrated I'm a firm believer that games can be enjoyed in different ways depending on your mind at the time & maybe I wasn't in the mood for it but God of War was REALLY boring Story, visuals and the details were all fire but the gameplay was way too dull
