The Tyrese Haliburton injury just reminds us how poorly we cover the sport #sports #kofie #kofiewhy

Remember when Philip Rivers played an AFC Championship game with a torn ACL and then people couldn't decide after that fact if that was badass or the most selfish thing he could have done? The only QB they could have put out there was Billy Volek. He was 31.

I watched a video recently on how the NBA has sacrificed players for the sport by having a culture of players playing on injuries when they shouldn't. It makes my blood boil since it could have long term effects on their body but the culture is just "win now" instead of player health & wellness

For real. This is why teams have 15 active players. Use and develop those players - all those players plus your 2-way players and G-League players so they can step up So your core players can rest as needed and play less minutes when hurt and not play when injured.

Yeah, and SAS was adamant Halliburton should just sit the 2nd half at halftime yesterday, after ragging Garland earlier. No consistency to his arguments, just wild tangents spoken as loudly and confidently as he can make them in the moment.

The only consistent thing about his comments is that they're coming from a place of absolute ignorance.

Stephen A Smith dropping a truth bomb.

Player doesn't play through injury: he's soft and you can't build around him. Player plays through injury but badly: he's selfish and you can't build around him. Player plays well through injury: Hero. Titan. Baller. Sigh.

Thank you. I’m sure Hali wants to play no matter what’s going on with him, but that’s when MANAGEMENT (coach and staff) need to do what’s best for everyone and take care of his health and give the team the best chance to win.

I would never know what this dude has said about anything if people didn't tell me. I've never in my life seen him on whatever tv shows he's on.

Stephen A. Smith would love professional cycling, where athletes are called heroes for riding with broken bones and concussion. This mentality has to stop. www.cyclingnews.com/news/julian-...
