Thanks for asking that! Quoting bc I can't respond in the OP's thread. The only thing that makes sense of the Dems' apparent inaction is threats from the only remaining bipartisan coalition in the US - the donor class.

I defended Dems in Xitter for the last 10 years. After Jan 20th Dems' largest coalition acted like the Trump admin's outright fascism was business as usual. Yes they did, we all witnessed it. Only a few, like AOC and Bernie, not dependant on PACs or powerful special interests' money, spoke up.

What Dems could've done: Warn us when the 5 richest American techbros switched political parties for access to 340M Americans most sensitive data? DOGE, anyone? Or mention CEOs and editorial staffs of the WaPo, NYT, Politico, Axios, ABC, CBS, CNN & MSNBC were replaced by Trump sympathizers?

Right before our eyes, NBC split from MSNBC and our last REMAINING progressive hosts. Have Dems said anything yet? Blaming Merrick Garland, Biden going gaga, Harris lost for talking too much about trans - all GOP propaganda. Please. Frankly, they could've mentioned that, too 😒

Not an exhaustive list, just a devastating one. They didn't warn us because they care more about something else than America going fascist. I don't know what that is. I don't think it matters. It's the elephant in the livingroom.

Another reason Citizens United must be overturned. The donor class has to lose the unfettered donations for a more democratic election. Better for all Americans.

I think the donors spent the last 50 years correcting for the "mistakes" they made failing to stop the New Deal.
