Well what can we say, you are the new Beer Biker, chapeau π

Thank you, very kind! Except the real Beer Biker would probably have cycled back, whereas I jumped on the train for the return leg π
Cool! And quite the nice weather for it too!
Main bonus this morning was the almost complete absence of wind. There was a slight westerly, hence a headwind going down coast from Oostende to French border. But compared to 'normal' here, the wind was nothing. Sometime I'll do this ride in reverse with a strong tail wind...π
Chapeau!
Thank you!
Well done Jess thatβs a big achievement π
Bravo Jezza! Well earned beers later π€πΊπΊ
There may well have been a beer or six this evening π
I would be disappointed if there wasn't my friend ππ
What a fantastic experience and achievement!
Thanks Martin. I'm sure you'd absolutely love this ride! π²
Well impressed!
Your next project should be to cycle the entire Belgium border!! π«
Steady on! Maybe I should start with West Flanders? π€
Canβt believe I left a vital βcβ out of βcyclingβ in the original post π€£
Flipping heck! I never noticed π

A couple of photos from this morning's ride: firstly, the docks in Oostende, just after 9am:
This beautiful stretch of coast is between Mariakerke & Middelkerke, just south of Oostende. This was 9.24am:
This is the King Albert 1 Memorial in Nieuwpoort, home of the amazing WestFront museum & the Ganzepoot (the allies deliberately flooded the Yser plain from here in 1914 to stop the German army):
This is the very welcome view as you head back onto the last bit of coast at De Panne, so you know you've nearly made it:
I went right through De Panne & on out to the border, of course. The old border post appears to be in France but needless to say it's now a Belgian chocolate shop π
Final destination, old classic cafe De Verloren Gernoare, opposite De Panne station. The celebratory beer didn't last long π€£
