Ohhh so Roy Cooper is standing in for your concerns about "generic democratic candidate" Out of curiosity, what state do you live in?

As someone whose job it is to detect ChatGPT, this is a bot. Bots tend not to provide specifying information, as it narrows the chances of it contradicting itself, based on later claims. Can’t accurately respond to a prompt about living in NC when you said NY before.

I don't think LLMs give a shit about later contradicting themselves, so I don't think I buy this angle.

Yes, they do, because specifying information can be a tell with papers. If you’re asked to write a personal narrative, and there’s a specifying detail that doesn’t align at all with the student, it can be easily detected. Several students have done this, and later confessed when confronted.

They’ll be overly broad, or generic, with personal information that could apply to anyone. That way, there’s less of a chance of detection. It’s why I have specificity in examples and imagery as part of my paper topics.

One of my students discussed getting a call from her mom on the “quad.” There’s no quad at our school, it’s called the lawn.

You've confirmed with LLM engineers that not including specifying information is an intentional part of their programming?

Yeah, even with your response about buzzwords, they did the same “Democrats are no different from the GOP” angle, because that’s likely its core message.

1. Absence of personal anecdotes. Furthermore, their response to me saying they’re a bot included the same pattern as before: saying that liberals are either no different from, or complicit in enabling, MAGA.

though detecting ChatGPT-generated content is difficult, there are still some signs that can make it more likely a piece of writing was produced by Al: 1. Passive and Impersonal Tone ChatGPT often uses a passive and detached voice, which can make the writing feel less engaging. You might notice that the text lacks first-person or second-person pronouns like Lack of Originality and Nuance Al-generated content frequently provides generic information without much depth. ChatGPT often relies on widely known facts and may fail to offer the unique insights or perspectives that a human writer might bring. When reading text that seems broad, lacking nuance, or avoiding specific examples, it could be an indicator that it was produced by an Al. 3. Repetitive Structures and Patterns One common characteristic of Al-generated content is a repetitive structure. ChatGPT tends to produce similar sentence lengths and predictable paragraph organization. Unlike human-written content, which usually features a dynamic flow with varied sentence structures and pacing, Al content can feel monotonous. 4. Absence of Personal Anecdotes Human writers often use anecdotes or personal examples to make their content relatable and engaging. ChatGPT, however, lacks personal experiences and, therefore, rarely includes these kinds of stories. If the text feels impersonal and lacks the kind of personal touch that usually makes writing more relatable, this could indicate Al involvement.

Wow. Just anyting to avoid accountability, anything to try and treat criticism as if its some propagandic attack. Enjoy your cult. It can't be serious ciriticisms. It must be a bot!

Why does state matter? I live in the US. Last I checked we all exist in a network of states called the United States. This is irrelevant, and an obvious bad faith question. I see through it.

Yeah, this is a bot: offers a political opinion with the Trump question, but refuses to specify in several areas, especially direct questions. A normal person would either answer or just stop talking.

My understanding: Your concerns are "Dems can't help but work with Republicans" and "Dems are identical to the German accommodationists in the 1930's". Additionally, Roy Cooper is your target as the end-all-be-all embodiment of this, without any real-world examples that support this assertion
