"No, a Windows update probably didn’t brick your SSD" - Meaning you don't really know. Hey, I got an idea... how bout you keep your mouths shut until you know for sure, instead of guessing? Oh and maybe don't take the word of corporations who'd rather not have bad PR. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbFI...

Um, my Win11 SSD boot drive disappeared. I had to attach a cd-rom with the Win11 install disk to try to fix it. It lasted about a day and it happened again. Since re-doing the repair from the install disk yet again, the issue has not reappeared.

This article comes across as condescending and gaslighting. Disappointing, coming from @theverge.com . I know for a fact that a few weeks ago I was copying a few dozen GB of data from one SSD to another, and the target (a Crucial SATA 4TB drive) disappeared from Windows during the copy operation.
