I just stepped outside to see my escaped domestic rabbit hanging out with the wild yard rabbit and a random raccoon. Not eating. Not fighting. Just…vibing together? Nope. Chores can wait. Just going to mind my own ghost business and not get involved in whatever nonsense they got on out there

Everyone finds rabbit tasty. Lost a bunny to a fox once. I also had to explain to my 14 year old niece once where her missing rabbits were & where rabbits ranked on the food chain I don’t trust raccoons either. We have a large water turtle my kids rescued. Raccoon bit his leg off. Our dog saved him

So the raccoon lumbered off but a chipmunk joined the hangout. I couldn’t get a shot when they were all right next to each other but the domestic is in the upper left, the wild is in the upper right, and there’s a chipmunk on the concrete centre bottom. You can see the stripes.

We once had an otter and 2 raccoons playing chase in our yard. They were obviously friends having fun together.

And yes. I have trapped and returned the domestic to his colony TWICE now This Houdini ass bitch (and only this one) escapes within minutes. Can’t see how. I’m at the point that if he wants to be food for the forest and get ate by a hawk or fox, that’s between him and his little furry god
