Yes, technically we still have the courts, but many current political decisions that negatively affect the public tend to be appealed to the Supreme Court, which often are decided for the President who appointed the 6/9…which is why it feels like we don’t have the courts, even though we do.

Aside from the Supreme justices, we do have the courts. It's not even a technicality. For cases not appealed to SC, the courts are quite brilliant. But the Supremes' shadow docket is effing up a lot. www.justsecurity.org/107087/track...
