Well, I just read the Catholic school shooter had antisemitic messages all over his rifle and magazines. Seems like he might’ve been a little confused about what being Catholic means if he hated Jews.

He might have been more than a little bit confused about everything, if he went to a Catholic Church to express his hatred of Jews. Sounds like a completely non-rational person.

I’ve been trying to avoid the news coverage about him because fuck him—he doesn’t deserve the airtime except to highlight the lack of laws that allow this to happen, again—so I have no idea what is in his “manifesto,” but I read in passing the detail about his gun and ammunition.

I haven’t read a thing about him, for the same reason. Our laws allow this to happen. Other countries react to these hideous events, change their laws, & see results. Our country refuses to do so, guaranteeing it’ll keep happening. That’s the bigger problem than any individual criminal.

Anywhere children are shot is equally bad. It’s not preferable for them to be shot somewhere other than in church. In prayer or not, in a house of worship or not, it is all equally bad.

don't overthink it. the north kicked the south's ass in the civil war. during reconstruction the South banded together in the lower Protestant churches, suspicious of outsiders. as Catholicism is prominent across Hispanic and Latinx and is all inclusive they hate the church with the brown people.
