Graphis is inaccurate. There have been zero school shootings in Canada in 2025. While there were three in 2024, one was a reported discharge in a stairwell (no victim) and one was in a parking lot, resulting in a single person grazed, and one was people shooting from a roadway into a school.

I tried to talk to my 70 year old mother about common sense gun control exactly once. She did not agree that assault weapons like AR15s should be banned. Because IF she were to buy a gun for home defense, that’s what she’d want because it would be easier to use with her arthritis.

Here's the thing that really gets me. There's like, a dozen different factors that affect this, not just guns existing, but we LITERALLY SUCK AT EVERY SINGLE ONE. I promise you, it's intended. High gun violence means there's a constant toll of cries for gun control from sane people to scare the ->

Our gun laws here in Australia were tightened significantly about 30 years ago after a mass shooting in Tasmania. The PM then was a conservative John Howard who brought in tougher gun laws The only good thing he did! On the downside, he changed the Marriage Act to exclude same sex marriage
