No, give people money. Or give money to orgs working with homeless people on the ground. Homeless people want the same dignity we have in being able to choose what they would like.

Brilliant and such a simple thing to do to make another’s life more bearable. 🙂
I find homeless people want money.
I'm old, don't get around but so proud I raised 2 sons with empathy, compassion for others. They usually never leave their apartments without fruit, snacks & bits of cash they generously give to homeless camped out in DC area.I don't sell items but donate to Thrift store that sells to help animals
The homeless people that live behind our neighborhood gas station like cigarettes and money, so that’s what I give them. Sanitary products are a great idea — can’t believe I didn’t think of it 🤦🏻♀️. Will add to my gifts for the women.
Awesome idea, thank you💕
Counter point: give people cash. They know what they need. They know what snacks they like, which sanitary products they prefer, etc. Maybe there's something they need more that day that you can't anticipate. Choosing for them might imply you don't want them to spend money on the 'wrong' thing.
I love this idea so much! It is filled with dignity, caring and kindness that asks for nothing in return,
Generous and smart.👍
Or here's an idea, stop voting for capitalist shit stains
Wonderful idea, but I opt for cash. Only if you can really see that they are heavily into alcohol or other drugs, but then they might trade it with other people. Putting pressure on the city to improve housing is most helpful but might be useless in your city.
