I hope the fires have not caused too much damage. I was hiking in Galicia in August and I could see the smoke coming from the Alto Minho. It is very distressing.

Yes, we were affected but not in Viana do Castelo. It was mainly Ponte de Lima and other towns and villages that suffered It was hard but fortunately the rain has returned and there are no more fires.
