I grew up drinking raw milk every day. Buying it from someone else is way too risky. If you don't own cows or goats, don't drink raw. I'm too lazy to keep livestock, but there are dairies that sell pasteurized, non-homogenized milk that is much better than the regular store bought stuff.

Again, I repeat: do not drink raw milk under any circumstances.

I probably consumed around 1000 gallons of raw milk in my childhood without any problems. Keep it clean, keep it cold, and drink it fresh. There's more coming 2x a day, no need to drink old milk once the latest milk cools. But I'm too lazy for all that now. So we just buy pasteurized.
