I think a lot of public conflict is triggering to her in the trauma sense, but she's been taking up more conflict as things have gotten worse and I feel really moved by that.

i’d be curious as to where my own mother who did volunteer counseling in state prisons in the 1970s & would demure from *any* conflict at all but quietly be like “sweetie, it may be right for the world to burn to the ground” would’ve gotten to by this point.
