I dont actually know for sure, but I know she voted for trump I just never asked. Yes, I cant always just avoid family in this instance Also, I do have a life in a society where I do have to interact with people with countering views than my own. I dont just go looking to talk about it
You just don’t go looking to talk about it? Do your goal is to have conversations with people who are easy to talk to but don’t really have any impact on the world and this is what you suggest others spend their time doing? And yes, you can avoid your family. Many do it.
If I see something, I say something. I talk about it, and get them to expand on occasion. The situation is never the same, but typically if they are friendly why not have a friendly exchange of ideas

I do call them racist if they are, I dont care about hurting their feelings. What it feels like you are saying is "Don't talk about it" which is exactly what they want and is counter to your argument via end result. You want change you start with 'We the People'

Nah, it’s not about being silent. It’s about not believing what they’re telling you is their motivation, not thinking facts will change their mind. It’s about not changing their mind or trying to but impacting others around. And it’s about deciding what’s wanted, not just what isn’t wanted.
Nope. The reality is I spent decades doing what you’re doing- and it was largely useless. Here’s what I should have done sooner: 1. Don’t hold hands with fascists incl family 2. Recognise capitalism will always lead to fascism 3. Stop being distracted by the fascist circus which is their rhetoric
