Doug Jones would be another good one. He prosecuted the Klan, so he's already familiar with the process.

Doug Jones should have had it in '21 from the get-go. He did good work in the Senate and took a lot of hard votes that made his reelect harder, because he's a Democrat, not a Republican-Lite. He was outgoing anyway, so there's no special election to fill.
