Electric cars are also a big problem. They generate massive amounts of tire and brake dust pollution. We need to move away from cars and to public transportation, walking, and biking.

lol. What massive amount of tire and brake dust pollution? You do realize public transport includes busses right? And cars will never go away.

Good points. However, zero fossil fuel emissions big plus. Electric buses in Warsaw quiet and no emissions.... No flies on Poland...

I agree that electric is better, but a 1 to 1 replacement of ICE cars is not the solution. We do have public charging for cars all over Paris, just around the corner of my apartment has a block of charging for public use and another for a city run car share service.

You're dismissing progress in return for a perfect solution. In 20 years we won't even be using roads, so the fear about the braking and rubber pollution is unnecessary. We won't replace all the ICE cars with electric before the next innovation arrives, obsoleting electric vehicles.

Electric cars are worse than ICE cars, when you factoring in making them and having to charge them least in the US.

Wrong. Do some very simple research.

Congrats on able to copy a screen shot of wiki. Now how do you think we are going to charge all those EV's? Let alone how we are going to build them. Take your advice and do some simple research.

You really don't have a clue, do you? Heard of V2G, V2H & all other benefits EVs will have for the grid? And by the way, I charge my EV almost exclusively from the PV on my house roof, as do millions.

Only one without a clue is you. Millions of people do not charge their EV's from solar as solar doesn't make enough to power a house and charge an EV in any reasonable fashion. You just want to ignore any facts that go against your narrative.

You're dumber than I thought possible. Today weather is poor, I've put 24kW in my car (over 100km) from PV. I charge myself €0.12kWh as that's what I get for feed in. Also already fed 5kWh into grid & currently recharging my 18kW of home battery to be full by evening. I'm feeding grid 40+kW per day.

Yesterday did 300km round-trip, for safety margin charged 17kW at my destination at Lidl for €0.29 while shopping & as had nearly expired €10 voucher charged another 17kW near home for €0.18 TOTAL cost. Charging car from PV today as need car tonight. Tomorrow can easily fully charge at home from PV.
