I feel people of faith are being given a bad rap because of evangelicals I grew up in that church and left as soon as I could. I still believe in God, I don't believe in their hypocrisy and hate. My faith is rooted in doing what Jesus commanded, to love and serve one another, including animals.
Same, that's why I reacted to the initial post. Some (but the most vocal) american christians, mainly evangelicals, are trying to setup a theocracy; they are a mirror image of talibanism. They dont even mind justifying the killing or injustice done to help their theocracy. God have mercy on them.

I am glad we agreed. Again, sorry that I sounded dismissive and harsh. As a christian, i cannot stand the Ted Cruz or Trump's "Melania and I are praying for the victims".
Right there with ya, I try to not be judgemental but when you have lived in their insane bubble of hypocrisy it's hard not to be, it's very frustrating.
