1943: Italy surrenders to the Allied United Nations (Allies in WWII). And CHANGED SIDES. They had JUST been killing US and British (and Free French) troops in North Africa until a few months earlier. People need to give former Trump Allies the same break we gave former Hitler Allies.

After the war, the US pressured the Italian government to release and reinstated them so they could be used as anti-Communist terrorists. The US and the Italian secret services were aiding and financing fascist terrorism until the ‘80. The US always LOVED fascism.
