By “Mamdani supporters” I mean New Yorkers that are leaning toward voting for him. We primarily care about things like housing affordability and defending our diverse communities from a hostile federal government, and our stretch goal is reaching even Trump voters.

People primarily praise Newsom for having “fight”. The above Mamdani campaign video is an excellent example of how to have fight in a non-toxic way. Folks say he’s radical, but it was Obama who first said that defending trans rights is essential, and asked us not to ‘go low.’
