It's been a great summer for plants here. Not to dismiss her effort at all, but my whole neighborhood is ridiculously beautiful right now. The rain gods have been kind this year.

Gardens

Very well designed and manicured. Hopefully some of those plantings are natives! But there's also enormous beauty in wild and chaotic gardens, especially when intertwined with nature. I've learned to love that, and in ways I find a fully designed, tidy yard a bit artificial.
