I have. The initial pain was bad but not unbearable. It lasted about 30 minutes or so. But my finger was numb for the next day and a half.
I don't care if I get stung. The way I see it, I'm in their turf. I just don't want my kids to get hurt. We had a long conversation about wearing shoes!
I had a torn Achilles, tendon surgically repaired yesterday. So I'm quite familiar with some pain. But this too shall pass.
Ouch, that sounds like it hurts. Sorry you're in pain. On the bright side, WE GOT RAIN!!!
You got rain?!?!? Where?
Tucson! I was in Oro Valley when it poured! We drove down to Saguaro National Park, and everything was wet! I even got a flash flood warning at some point!
You must have gone to SNP W. Iām near SNP E, and we got nothing!
Did you at least see the lighting? It was gorgeous!
Only the faintest flashes. Iām quite a distance away from the W/NW side.
I'm only on vacation, but I will miss Arizona. It has been such an incredible place! I feel like I'm closer to earth here. I can't explain it. Every view is a mountain, and it just humbles me
Come back anytime!
I'm in Green Valley and we only got a short burst and very little lightning š®āšØ
It was the 1st time I saw rain in the desert š I've been waiting day after day, and the Catalina mountains just kept teasing me because it never made it to us. Today, I finally got my wish! What a surreal and incredible feeling to see it pour like that! It was magical!
What? First time? Did you enjoy the scent afterwards?
Yes! It's muddy like clay (that probably doesn't makes sense). I grew up in PR and we have downpours everyday. The smell afterwards is amazing but more earthy like worm castings
Oh, funny! The first time I smelled it I felt like Iād walked into a bakery! Cinnamon, vanilla, idk what all. Love it.
It's incredible how something so fragile can cause so much pain and survive dinosaurs! š
