This is probably more about expanding their retail deliveries than food. Sure, people could use it for their Starbucks or Chipotle but they're probably targeting people looking at electronics or power tools.
What?
Anyone who partakes needs an intervention from family and friends.
This is not sustainable.
Eat now, pay never.
Fuck student loans. This will destroy the credit of a generation of students for life.
I still can’t believe that people will pay all the fees & endure the invasion of privacy for these delivery services instead of doing in-house shopping/pickup at stores to the point that the companies still exist & are thriving. I guess my time/money cost/benefit ratio is way different than most?
This is mostly a “my specific area” incredulous rant. I live in a town of 10,000 & when we got DoorDash & co about 5 years ago I never thought it would stick. Going to the grocery store/restaurant & back is a 15 minute drive in our heavy traffic. I just don’t see the benefit beyond medical necessity
That's soooo 2025 ... sad
Trump economy in a nutshell
Call me crazy, but we are probably in a bad spot when people need to pay for their cheeseburger in installments.
As someone who once worked for Klarna, I strongly advise avoiding their business.
Grim af
Subway Prime Loan
Junk food bonds
Perfect sign of the times.
Just sad.
This feels like a way to take further advantage of low education workers
Food-delivery-backed securities. Subprime loans. Tranches. It's pretty confusing, right? Does it make you feel bored? Or stupid? Well, it's supposed to. Wall Street loves to use confusing terms to make you think only they can do what they do. So, here's Margot Robbie in a bubble bath to explain.
I'm listening...
it’s a bubble.
phonancing
You mean I can pay $2.5 over four months for my Chipotle Burrito? Awesome
Free borgor??
that is a wrap folks. In one message capitalism has won and also failed us all
The fact that regular US citizens have to finance food now is embarrassing and it should embarrass the fck out of politicians. Is America great yet!?
This is bad
Ok. We are officially in a recession.
cool. another mechanism for the rich to prey on the poor and drive people further into debt. I see nothing wrong here.
What?
If this isn't a leading indicator of economic collapse idk what is
If you need to be paying in installments for your next meal, you probably shouldn't be ordering out.
Klarna said in a press release that DoorDash customers will be able to pay in full at checkout, split payments into four equal interest-free installments, or defer to dates that align conveniently with payday schedules. Read more: unusualwhales.com/news/doordas...
This feels like a micro loan 😭
Financing pizzas! #idiocracy
What a telling sign of the current times
If you need this, you do not need to order DoorDash.
This is incredibly depressing.
DoorDash know that Americans are going to be broke in Trump’s economy, unable to even pay for their $10 meals
Omg .
They should call it "Dine 'n' Dash"
