US Treasury Secretary Bessent: Tariffs could lead to a one time price bump
Yeah…that “price bump” is defined as INFLATION!
Did he mean to endorse price fixing? 😬
Oh, only one time? Phew, I guess we're fine then.
Get bent, Bessent. You know better, you lying jerk.
One time but permanent
One time? Is this asshole just gaslighting or is really this dumb?
😂 "one time" get fucked
Yes, corporations are known for one time bumps. They do them only one time. Not over and over again. And they definitely bring those prices back down later.... even if tariffs weren't awful, corpos are gonna use them as an excuse to raise prices every chance they get
This is as close as possible Bessent can get to saying tariffs get passed on to the consumer without hurting dear leaders feelings. For a president, Trump sure needs a lot of coddling.
But not for minimum wage increasing to a one time wage bump.
10-50% bump… 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Also known as "inflation"
Remember when lying was a huge deal? lol those were the days
If by “one time” he means, each single time you go to check out at the store.
Permanent bump So if it’s more expensive we buy less—can anyone say “recession”?
Another tax on us.
Tariffs are not a one time tax.
They really want people to start getting belligerent, huh
…and 33,000 jobs lost. Playing to his Magats
And it will be baked in to the new prices so it’s hidden and even if costs go down for the stores and manufacturers , the prices we pay will never go back down
“One time”???? What statistics does he have about a “one time” price bump….
Literally the opposite of what Trump campaigned on lol
That never goes way. Fuck that guy
one time. rofl.
Oh finally he is acknowledging it which means it’s way worse than he will admit.
"And you will not be receiving a one time salary bump."
One time...that just remains
“One time” after this one time in may www.axios.com/2025/05/25/t...
One time and forever.
