The CEO of McDonald's says that we're now living in "a two-tier economy." " If you're upper income earning over $100,000 things are good, stock markets are near all time highs... What we see with middle and lower income consumers is actually a different story."

thankfully McDonalds doesn't have to rely on "middle and lower income consumers" to stay afloat. they are famously exclusively enjoyed by only the uppermost echelons of society.

1/2 - A case study in class warfare. It doesn’t take much to earn $100k. He draws the line where he wants, and decides there’s two tiers. Make the “I think I’m rich” try to separate from the “I know I’m not rich”, (who collectively have nothing), so the actual rich can keep having everything.

2/2 - You can earn $100k and be homeless in a matter of months. It is nothing when everything is expensive. Literally everything is absurdly expensive. And it doesn’t have to be. Just requires that the ultra rich don’t get to be ultra rich via wealth based taxes and we put guardrails on capitalism.
