I have not seen a frame of this show since it aired. I remember it being *not* as good as Police Squad but loving David Rasche in it. I also remember it being one of those weird shows I couldn't believe made it to TV, and then relatively quickly it was no longer being made.
And of course one of the most famous cases of a finale made with the assumption the show would be canceled, only for an unexpected renewal to force everyone to scramble around a definitive ending.

I don’t wanna spoil it for you if you’re going to watch. But it is drastically more final than the Felicity situation.
How did I not KNOW this? (I may have known it at one point and simply forgotten it.) I have to get this now.
Heh, I did (still do?) have this a kid because I was a Marvel addict and very into the show for its brief run... which still easily bests the comic since that second issue was also the final issue.
My dad and I loved this show. It was right up our comedy alley.
I once helped Rasche when I worked at B&N; he was very nice and I was starstruck but PROFESSIONAL and didn't gush (which I now regret) -- this was pre-Burn After Reading, pre-Succession, and it probably would've just been nice to pay him a compliment.
He is always one of those actors I am happy to see onscreen though I will admit it was jarring when he is on the plane in the movie United 93. Sometimes an actor's screen history can work against the thing they're in!
These 3 are part of a mini-trend I wish had been bigger/would resurface- animated spin-offs of live action shows. I don't think there is a single live-action show that exists where I wouldn't at least be curious to see what the animated show would be.

My favorite is Gilligan's Planet, where the professor builds a rocket ship to escape the island and they end up stranded in outer space
Russell Johnson being the lone cast member not credited by his voice makes me wish he were the lone live-action element in a show I'm admittedly only just now learning exists.
