The farmer’s market near me (north of Pittsburgh) brings in strawberries from Quebec all summer once theirs are done for the season. They are delicious and well worth the extra few dollars. I would buy them all the time if I could.

I'm fortunate to have access to locally owned fruit stands. I have no problem paying for QUALITY produce. I bought a bag of Rainiers at a regional supermarket chain. The fruit was pathetic for the💰. I'd rather stop on the east side of Puyallup going up the 410 at a roadside canopy for Yakima 🍒

Same here My sense is that the local blueberries, and blackberries are better. We also now see South American sourced produce which is very high quality compared to the past uniform American fare. One thing to consider is us food processing is highly centralized hence the prone to food issues.
