The Venezuelan story was in 2023. That year, the US had 945,000 applications for asylum. The Brazilian entered the US illegally in 2024, one of more than 500,000 migrants. That's 2 in a million +. I'm sure there are more, but the numbers suggest migrants aren't the problem ( in the US or UK).
That story is one of dozens ... women and children raped and/or murdered by men who never should have been here in the first place. I suggest that even one is too many. I guess your threshold is much higher as long as it doesn't impact on you or your family.
My threshold ended with the white Virginia police officer who raped my sister in 1987. A story that is one of hundreds of men born here, including policemen who use their position to harm rather than protect. So yeah, my family was impacted.
