Jack, I’m one of those who just can’t 4th-of-July today. It’s a coincidence that these forces merged like they did, but it’s real. Don’t preach. Be a bit more gracious.

No. There is no graciousness in reinforcing apathy. I won’t.
All that is required for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing.
I agree that widespread apathy and complacency have gotten us to this point. I also understand that sometimes people need to cry and rage before they can get up to fight another day. I can honestly say that I have never taken my freedom for granted thanks to my parents' teachings.
Great thread. Passivity & apathy is acquiescing. People need to stop believing those people will ever change. They’ve tasted the blood of tyranny and they want more.
Yes. There is a scourge upon our society, on the lives of decent ordinary people. The Merchants of Malice and Disciples of Depravity find strength in making the others unworthy, expendable and invisible. Your blood is meaningless.
It’s one day. One day that is deeply and sadly ironic. Calm down.
Followed.
To not care and to neuter ones emotions, your empathy and light a match to your personal constitution in these times that demands fierce conversations and fortitude makes for sheer obedience to those that are hellbent on stepping on your neck.
It’s ok Jack just knows better than any of the rest of us who are grieving and mourning and don’t feel like celebrating anything today We’re all idiots, clearly
