Im in England. When we first moved ro France I was surprised at how expensive beer was. Wine was pretty good value though. Now, on a return visit to UK, I'm shocked at how expensive beer is. It's as expensive if not more so than in France. And wine. F**k me! THE PRICE !! It's astronomical.

And eating out. Quality/ price is a bit shocking. We went to a good curry house ( we've been many times before). It was nice, but not stunning. We had a small starter each, only one main dish between us, a couple of sides and one rice between us. It was the most I've ever paid for a curry.
