I met my first tik-tok influencer today. He posted a video that's been viewed 1.5 million times. He's about 12. I have never seen anyone perform the tricks he did on his phone screen, so quickly and so professionally, I was gob smacked.

Are you going to do it and share it with us?
I dont actually know what he calls himself! The video was 'I'm in Spain and your (sic) not.' I've had a look for it but there are literally thousands of them. It's a thing, apparently.
Ah. Ok. Interesting.
π I think "a thing" is referred to as "a trend" . . . TikTok trends . . .
π¬
Thatβs you told!
π€£ Now if you'd all like to submit your videos for the shuffle dance trend . . ..
After you ππ!!!
π€ I'm on a sick note, congestive heart failure, my shuffle dance days are gone . . .
You should start another thing on TikTok then.. sat down as well. Weβre all a bit tired!
Is that a thing?
Can we say Β« thingy Β» sounds more hip.
Thingy? That sounds like a doo-dah, not a hip.
Doo-dahthingy ?
π€¨ No it's a trend. www.youtube.com/shorts/kWP7h...
π I seen some video that the ex's daughters did of their trip to a festival . . . Same reaction . . . My dad worked* in TV n think his mind would be blown by what the average kid can do w a phone these days if he was still with us . . . *OB technical supervisor.
That's one of the best jobs Great per diem Lots of variety of location and usually the same crew, Food is generally awesome too Actors come and go But a snuggly big van is a godsend when you're in the arse end of nowhere
π I remember the subsidy on the canteen making steak as cheap as chips . . . N from technical point of view actors are a pain in the arse (apparently) wont to take multiple shots with bolt action single shot rifles while Β£10k pyrotechnics wasted in the background.
π€£ N if you doing emmerdale (farm) the sightseers think the works canteen is part of their tour package . . .
I don't think they pay for food? I never did. Some of the forrin shoots are so remote, the locals would queue up to use the stand pipes for clean water and loo's This is in EU as well Kinnell!
π The YTV canteen at base was subsidised. Not sure about the mobile canteen on location, assumed that was the same . . . I remember popz saying the single guys who worked at base would just eat all their meals in the canteen cos it was cheaper than buying it . . .
Similar nowadays It can be a long cold day and time off is scarce when on schedules
βΊοΈ I think he saw a lot of changes and was probably in the heyday of TV . . . He used to be on 4 10hr days which meant you could have 10 days off by booking 4 . . . Then they changed em to 5 8hr days which meant booking 6 days to get 10 off Then they changed it to annualised hours . . .
π€ The annualised hours they could give you 48hr notice of working on any given day and 24 hr notice if you were working 4 - 14 hrs that day . . . And of course to get 10 days off you then had to book 10 . . .
