Maybe that’s it. I still find it hard to understand what makes Putin so attractive to Orbán. For someone as greedy and cynical as Orbán, there seems previously little to gain there.

He have been using Putin methods since he lost the elections in 2002, and worked well for him for the only purpose he has: getting and keeping power (and showing his worth for his abusive father). Putin can keep him in "power", otherwise he's down the drain.
