In an attention economy is it any surprise that the man who can attract the most attention gets the most airtime? The other party leaders are tediously boring and lack a clear and concise message. When attention is the game Farage is the clear winner.

I mean, that works if you see large news organisations as inert parts of the "attention economy". But they DO have a choice. Especially the BBC which is funded explicitly to NOT be that.

Well, yes indeed. Why the BBC insist on copying the click bait attention seeking of commercial stations is a total mystery. It makes you wonder why we fund it! However, since Brexit BBC News have failed to challenge any of the lies or exaggerations from people like Farage.
