As a teen in London, I attended The Dance Factory, Islington- danced in various theatres....another life...
I did tap and stage dance as a wee sprog then went straight to heidbanging or expressive floaty movements at the *MECCA on a Friday night. *heavy metal/ prog rock/ floaty nonsense and all points in between music π
Excellent- we're all dancers
I did tap dance and later some belly dancing classes. But I know exactly what you mean with expressive floaty movements. ππ«ΆπΌπ
Me too. I learnt to ice skate cos it was cold hanging around the seats outside the rink while my daughter had lessons. Even got some lessons from karen barber Much younger and slimmer then

There are no people who don't like music, merely soulless husks a of a parasitic alien invasion. Wait. No, maybe that was Donald Sutherland? Not sure. Anyway, they're weird. youtu.be/Cv6tuzHUuuk?...
Am I allowed to be merely indifferent to music? (Except for the stuff I hate, of course.)
If you hate it, you're not indifferent. Might not be the emotional response the artist wanted but it is an emotional response.
It is mainly a response to actual physical pain, when it is too loud, or irritation when it is loud enough to be distracting. Most 'music' is just noise to me. And yes, I do realise that I am lacking something that allows most people to enjoy it. Oh, and crap lyrics really annoy me too.
That's interesting. Most people have no thoughts on crap lyrics because most people never hear them. They simply don't listen to them. Listening to lyrics, horrified by them or not, is actually rare in a listener.
When they are sufficiently clearly enunciated they are the bit of a song that I do listen to. I do enjoy a good lyric. Conversly anything with the word 'baby' in it that doesn't refer to a very young child can fuck off.
A couple of listens & I can usually sing the lyrics...it's a gift, never been part iculary useful π€£π₯
Dua Lipa
