If you don't think it's worth fighting to prevent our govt from contracting with a company involved in concentration camps, then we're not on the same side.

I just think that we have far more important things to worry about right now. Priorities. Garda will still be in Florida whether we cancel their contracts or not - we will hurt our own taxpayers & change nothing.
Yeah... this is important. Authoritarian takeovers by fascist govts can not happen without the complicity of the private sector. This is called collaboration. People who think that putting roadblocks in front of private sector companies that collaborate is not a "priority" are called collaborators.
There would be no roadblock - the only thing it would accomplish is hurting Canadians - the gov't contracts are a drop in the bucket for Garda - they won't leave Florida - what is the point of fighting worthless battles that accomplish nothing? I don't like it either but I won't wast energy to fail.
It's not about forcing them to leave Florida. It's about not giving fascists & collaborators our tax dollar. If you're morally bankrupt, just say so.
The fact that GW is being contracted by the US govt to provide "protection services" at US concentration camps where human rights abuses/violations are taking place... & then the 🇨🇦govt under Carney awarding GW 🇨🇦 govt contracts is what's hurting Canadians & the 🇨🇦 govt's credibility under Carney. 🤦🏽♂️
To add: GardaWorld is a Canadian company founded by a Canadian. They do operate internationally, but they are headquartered in Montreal.
