You forget, students can only celebrate in the moments that both of their feet aren’t in contact with the floor as well
I remember GCSE results day, a group of us were commiserating with someone who's results were not so great. Everyone else had fooked off straight away, so when the press photographer arrived late they had to settle for a picture of 8 awkward teenagers, 2 of whom had absolutely failed.
Little story about this - a number of the students they get in those pictures have often down incredibly badly but don’t want to let on. It’s often an act of extreme cruelty…
That should be done
Sadly cancelled due to Labour’s VAT raid.
"Labour cancels attractive young students" has surely been brainstormed as a Reform attack line.
One of the independent schools here shut suddenly this week, so I am hoping for pictures of the 6th formers from there, combining news stories. Obviously, the school blames VAT but on the whole FB and local paper comments are not buying this
Think newspapers and media vastly overestimate how many people give a toss about private schools.
I have been very disappointed at the level of aggro on the local paper and FB group comments about this. It has been rumoured to be struggling for years, fundamentally the state secondaries are fine (and to be frank if they weren't in the nearest town south of Oxford where would they be?)
It was essentially the bottom of the heap of the independent ones. My guess is that the main appeal is for SEN given the smaller classes, and given the large number of scientists etc here we have lots of Autistic spectrum etc
