just called to schedule an appointment for a home repair and i literally had a conversation with AI. there was like fake background office conversation and keyboard clicking. mimicked human speech patterns with hmms and umms. took me about 20 seconds to figure out it was AI. my blood feels cold now

i honestly would have preferred that. this AI was too good. 20 seconds i thought i was talking to a person. gives me the creeps.
And remember, they're likely using the cheaper small models. The larger more advanced models you likely couldn't tell for half an hours, if ever.
